“Another COPYRIGHT CRIMINAL prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Stealing. Borrowing. Lifting. Copy&Pasting. Using. Sampling. even ‘was INSPIRED by’ are all euphemisms for the fancy Latin based word;  plagiarism. And is defined as:

“The wrongful appropriation, close imitation, or purloining and publication, of another author’s language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions, and the representation of them as one’s own original work.”

So remember recycling bottles is good.

Recycling someone’s writing is not.

Despite what some people think, the internet is not a free-for-all-take-what-you-need-copyright-free environment.

As a matter of fact if you didn’t create the essay, the photo or the video then you are STEALING if you copy/paste any part of it to your site.

Oh and by the way, back links and ‘via’ credit to the original author do not absolve you from being guilty of plagiarism.

Soooooooo…….

100% of the content found on the Smartly sites is copyright protected by both the editors of Smartly as well as the original authors under contract to the site. Which means if you enjoy the writers work here on Smartly, be very very careful not to ‘borrow’ any part of the essays written. Unless you want to be the next person with black bars across your eyes in a Copyright Criminal mug shot.

Because you will NOT get away with it…If you choose to steal from Smartly, we will be sure to know.

Don’t think we will catch you? We will. We use software to track if our content has been ‘scraped’ by copyright criminals.

Sincerely & Smartly,

Andrea and Marcy.
